With this ASUS monitor you get the best of both worlds a high resolution, with a competitive 144Hz refresh rate and decent response time for stunning graphics and gaming experience. The drawback however is usually a reduction in response and refresh rate. Due to the use of an IPS panel the PG27UQ provides better viewing angels and color than the typical TN panel used in most competitive monitors. The PG27UQ also features Aura Sync compatibility for your gaming setup aesthetics.įor those who want a good competitive monitor but also enjoy the immersion of story mode and campaign gameplay the ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ might be the choice for you. The only downside to this monitor is that it has a response time of 4ms, which isn’t the best for competitive gaming, however it’s well made up for by the other features of the monitor.

So, the solution of this is " Picture advanced > HDMI RGB PC Range > RGB (0~255) " and from here one, walk around to take that "washed" image out from settings (video card setting, monitor setting, windows settings) and perhaps youtube for some more detailed settings. The ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQ hosts an array of impressive specs, with 4k UHD Resolution at 144Hz with Nvidia G-Sync HDR Technology.

I did read many reviews about this monitor, but for the 100$ this is THE best one and acceptable even for gaming. All of them given be tons of settings and whatever (the company from whom I bought said that they will give me a new monitor since I still have guarantee on it) so that finally I see that freaking "0-255" option and the "RGB pixels" or "ghost pixels" (as i call them) have vanished. More, I contacted Nvidia support, thinking it is from the video card, contacted the Asus suport (my mother board) and then finally contacted the company from where I bought this monitor. Well, for now it works but the image indeed it looks washed up as you have said. So I did navigated in settings up and down until I have found this setting and then I set it to 0-255. I don't know how, but I was reading lots of articles on the internet and somewhere someone said that the 0-255 it is a much better then 16-235 which is a limited option and less stressful for. Well, I see it has passed 1 year (and some) from this post, but I wish to subscribe to it since I have the same monitor with the same (EXACT the same) problem. Becuase like I said it was not like this to start with, only got that way with time.Īgain, any advice is most appretiated, thank you. If anyone could let me know what the problem even was to begin with? And what another fix might be or what may have caused it. I have slightly availed that problem by rasing the gamma a bit to the point that I kind of sort of don't notice if I just try not to think about it but STILL. Don't know if that will mean anything to anyone but it did sort of fix the problem, however it has made the picture look all washed out. I changed the "HDMI RGB PC Range" under Advanced Picture settings from "RGB (16-235)" to "RGB (0-255)".

Playing games with this effect present is freaking intolerable. This person has supposedly solved the problem but I don't understand the 1 answer given.

I've tried to search for this issue online and I'm found only one other forum post with the same issue:

At first I thought the problem was that I was using an HDMI but the problem is still present when I use the PS4 with which I can *only* use HDMI. I've tried unplugging and reatatching the cable but that doesn't work.

I'm probably not describing it very well, but it's extremely frustrating. Whenever there is a sudden movement of image on screen, the outline or shiluett of the image will remain for a split second in weird colours. This issue only showed itself after a few days of use.
